Sheikhupura: Major energy projects are providing a new direction to Pakistan's industrial growth due to the effective policies of Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). National Grid Company of Pakistan (NGC) has successfully energized the 220 kV Quaid-e-Azam Business Park Grid Station in Sheikhupura. According to Radio Pakistan, the project was completed at a cost exceeding four billion rupees and is expected to boost economic activity by ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply to industrial consumers. This development marks the country's first grid station commissioned exclusively for a Special Economic Zone. NGC Managing Director Engineer Altaf Hussain Malik noted that the Business Park Grid Station has been designed in line with the requirements of long-term industrial expansion and comprehensive socio-economic development. The grid station is anticipated to play a crucial role in facilitating industrial growth and attracting investments, thereby contributing to the overall economic progress of the region.
