According to Radio Pakistan, the Pakistan team batted first and were all out for eighty-eight runs in nineteen point four overs. Despite a challenging pitch, they managed to set a target that proved to be just out of reach for the Bangladesh team. In response, the Bangladesh team fought hard but were all out for seventy-five runs in nineteen point five overs. The close contest highlighted the competitive spirit of both teams. The second match of the five-match series is scheduled to be played on Friday at the same venue. Both teams will be looking to make adjustments and put on an improved performance.
