Islamabad: Analysts have raised concerns over the ongoing terrorism threats in Pakistan, allegedly sponsored by Indian and Afghan elements. Dr. Muhammad Khan, an international relations expert, emphasized the significant challenges faced by Pakistan due to terrorism but acknowledged the unmatched resolve of the Pakistani nation and its armed forces in combating this menace. He commended the security forces for their success in countering and eliminating terrorists during a recent attack on the Frontier Corps Headquarters. Dr. Khan indicated that the terrorists are driven by a do-or-die mission from the Taliban and the Afghan Taliban regime, leading to attacks carried out in frustration and panic. According to Radio Pakistan, Dr. Khan expressed that rooting out terrorism is crucial for Pakistan's national survival. He urged the civilian population to remain vigilant against sleeper cells within the country and highlighted the importance of alerting the intelligence system to counter threats targeting civilian s, security forces, and infrastructure. Dr. Khan noted that once terrorism is eradicated, Pakistan can focus on human and economic development. Dr. Zahid Anwar Khan, another expert in international relations, acknowledged the prolonged suffering of the Pakistani nation due to terrorism. He stated that the terrorists aim to shed civilian blood, but emphasized that Pakistan's government and people are united in their resolve to eliminate terrorism. Dr. Zahid Anwar Khan pointed to the Indo-Afghan nexus as the driving force behind terrorism in Pakistan, asserting that the core reason for Indian hostility is the thwarting of its designs by the Pakistani armed forces. He expressed confidence that Pakistan's institutions, people, and armed forces will eventually overcome the terrorist threat, leading to peace and stability in the region.
