Islamabad: Gilgit-Baltistan Liberation Day is being celebrated today. To mark the day, the main flag hoisting ceremony will be held in Chinar Bagh Gilgit where special guests will lay a wreath at the Martyrs' Memorial. After this, a grand ceremony will be held at the Army Helipad Ground Gilgit. According to Radio Pakistan, rallies and events will also be held in all districts of Gilgit-Baltistan in connection with the Liberation Day. During the events, the speakers will highlight the historical background of the War of Independence of Gilgit-Baltistan and pay tribute to the martyrs and ghazis of the War.
