Islamabad: Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain has announced that all future decisions regarding the import and export of sugar will be data-driven to ensure national food security. According to Radio Pakistan, while chairing a meeting in Islamabad to review sugar reserves, Rana Tanveer directed all relevant departments to develop a mechanism through mutual consultation. This mechanism aims to ensure transparency, uniformity, and accountability in the sugar trade sector. During the meeting, it was also agreed that a unified data collection system and a unified monitoring system would be established.
