Madrid, Feb. 02, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Gordon Brothers, the global advisory, restructuring and investment firm, is offering for immediate sale by private treaty machinery and equipment from four plants in the Canary Islands formerly leased by the firm to the Spanish food products manufacturer and distributor José Sánchez Peñate.

José Sánchez Peñate primarily produced dairy products from two plants in Tenerife, Spain and manufactured and supplied coffee and bakery products from two plants in Gran Canaria. The complete plant and available machinery equipment are as follows:

  • Milk plant, including preparation, mixing, sterilization, cooling, packaging and palletizing systems.
  • Yoghurt plant, including raw material reception, pasteurization of milk, mixing station, pasteurization of yoghurt, addition of starter, fermentation, packaging, palletizing, cooling and storage.
  • Coffee plant, including raw materials reception, recipe preparation, roasting, milling, packing of coffee beans for restaurants or ground coffee, packaging, palletizing and storage.
  • Bakery plant, including raw materials reception, kneading machines, forming machines, cutting and boarding, fermentation area, baking and cooling, packaging and palletizing.

Minister of State for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Nawabzada Iftikhar Ahmed Khan Babar says Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) has become worst example of human rights violations in the world.

Addressing a seminar at Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad on Friday, he said illegal actions of India on 5th August 2019 were meant to change demography of the occupied valley. He said Indian government is allotting land to non-Kashmiri people illegally. He said India has issued 4.4 million domiciles to non-Kashmiris.

The Minister of State said Indian actions in occupied valley are vivid examples of enforcement of Hindutva policy.

He said world recognizes India as a Hindu extremist country. He said Muslims, Sikhs and Christians in India feel insecure.

The National Assembly on Friday continued discussion on the recent incidents of terrorism particularly in Peshawar.

The house resumed its session at the Parliament House in Islamabad on Friday with Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf in the chair.

Participating in the debate, Naz Baloch voiced concerns over the recent surge in acts of terrorism. She said the entire nation shares the grief of the victim families. She called for a unified approach to steer the country towards peace and stability.

Salahuddin Ayubi said the recent act of terrorism at a mosque in Peshawar aggrieved the whole nation. He said we can bring peace in the country only through cohesion and harmony. He said we should establish good relations with all the regional countries.

The House passed Pakistan Maritime Zones Bill, 2021.

It also adopted some amendments in the rules of procedure and conduct of business of the House.

These were moved by Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Murtaza Javed Abbasi.

Two bills were laid before the National Assembly.

These included National Skills University Bill and Quaid-e-Azam Foundation Bill, 2023.

Later, the House was adjourned to meet again on Monday at five thirty pm.

Minister for Power Khurram Dastgir Khan says government is providing electricity to five export-oriented sectors at 19.99 rupees per unit to enhance exports of the country.

Responding to a question during the Question Hour in the Senate on Friday, he said the government is also taking substantial measures to generate low-cost electricity in the country.

The Minister said the government has abolished Sales Tax on solar panels. He said the government is introducing solar projects to alternate fossil fuels in energy production.

Khurram Dastgir Khan said the federal government buildings are being solarized and micro solar grids for rural areas are also being introduced for provision of low-cost electricity.

To another question, the Power Minister said payments issues of Karachi Electric have been resolved.

He said the federal government provides one thousand to eleven hundred megawatt electricity to the citizens of Karachi.

Responding to a question regarding import of oil from Russia, Minister of State for Petroleum Musadik Malik said commercial terms will be finalized by the end of next month and it is expected that Pakistan will start receiving oil from Russia in the month of April.

He said the contract with Russia for import of oil will help Pakistan to fulfill its twenty percent crude oil import requirements.

In his remarks, Minister of State for Law and Justice Shahadat Awan informed the House that work on Diamer Basha Dam, Mohmand Dam, Tarbela 5th extension, Harpo Hydropower project and Attabad Lake Hydropower project is underway.

He said after completion, these dams will be generating 6918 mw electricity. He said these dams will also be beneficial for the agriculture sector.

Shahadat Awan said construction of dams will be completed within stipulated time of the projects.

The House will now meet again on Monday at 3pm.

A Digital Photographic and Painting Exhibition in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day was inaugurated at Information Service Academy (ISA) in Islamabad on Friday to expose the grave situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

Hurriyet leader Yasin Malik’s wife and Chairperson Peace and Culture Organization Mushaal Hussein Mullick inaugurated the exhibition.

Speaking on the occasion, she said the exhibition depicts the pain and agony of Kashmiri people and is a reminder to the world that Kashmiris stand resolute in their demand for freedom.

Mushaal Mullick called upon the United Nations and other world bodies to put their resolution and promises into action and designate a special envoy on Kashmir for raising the voice of the oppressed Kashmiris.

Election Commission of Pakistan has forwarded a request to High Court of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to provide the services of judicial officers to ensure the conduct of free and fair elections of Provincial Assemblies.

During an important meeting of the Election Commission held in Islamabad today with Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja in the chair, it was informed that a letter has also been written in this regard.

The Commission decided that the meeting of the Election Commission will be held on Tuesday in which the Chief Secretary and IGs of Punjab will give briefing on the elections, law and order situation regarding upcoming general elections of the Provincial Assemblies and by-elections of the National Assembly.

The commission also decided that a consultative meeting with political parties on the code of conduct would be held on Thursday.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said the political, social and religious leadership is united for eliminating the menace of terrorism from the country.

Chairing the apex committee meeting in Peshawar on Friday, he said the terrorism will once again be fully eliminated from the country as it was done in the past.

The Prime Minister said the Police Lines mosque blast is the deadliest incident after the APS incident of 2014.

He assured the nation that complete investigations of the incident will be made and the terrorists and their facilitators will be brought to justice.

The Prime Minister said the World has acknowledged that Pakistan successfully eliminated the terrorism from the country which was not an easy task at all.

The Prime Minister said he has also convened an all-parties conference in Islamabad on Monday to hold consultation with the political leadership of the country for a united national narrative and action against terrorism.

He urged all the political leaders to set aside political differences as this is the time to get united for the greater national cause. He hoped that all political leaders will realize the sensitivity of the situation and will attend the APC.

The Prime Minister announced a compensation amount of two million rupees each for the martyr and five-hundred thousand rupees each for the injured of Peshawar blast.

Federal Ministers, Chief Ministers of all four provinces and Gilgit-Baltistan, AJK Prime Minister and senior officers of police sensitive institutions are present in the meeting.
