The Government of Gilgit-Baltistan and Shifa International Hospital formally signed an agreement at Shifa International Hospital Islamabad to hire the services of specialist doctors for Gilgit-Baltistan.

As per the agreement the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan is hiring the services of 66 consultant doctors of various specialties as per the need identified by Health Department GB.

The agreement signing ceremony was attended by Deputy Speaker GBA, Nazir Ahmad, Finance Minister GB, Javed Manwa, and members of GB Assembly.

The 146th birth anniversary of the father of the nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah will be observed tomorrow with renewed pledge to uphold his guiding principles of unity, faith, and discipline.

The day will dawn tomorrow with special prayers for security, progress and prosperity of the country.

The national flag will be hoisted on major government buildings throughout the country.

Special events will be arranged on the day to highlight and promote the ideals and views of the father of the nation, particularly with regard to rule of law, the supremacy of the constitution, and upholding of democracy.

Public and private departments will hold a variety of events including seminars, conferences, competitions and discussion programs to highlight the messages and vision of Quaid-e-Azam.

President Dr Arif Alvi has stressed the need for making concerted efforts to improve the accessibility and inclusion of Persons with Disabilities into the mainstream of society so as to make them equal, productive, and active citizens of the country.

Addressing an interactive session with persons with disabilities organized by the World Health Organization in Karachi on Saturday, he underlined the need to enhance the inclusion of PWDs in all fields of life, besides providing them with education and employment opportunities in mainstream institutions.

The government has decided to launch an Internship Program for 20000 engineers with forty thousand rupees monthly stipend.

This was stated by the Minister for Planning and Development, Ahsan Iqbal while addressing the 56th Annual General Meeting of Institution of Engineers Pakistan in Lahore on Saturday.

Ahsan Iqbal said that we need to promote the engineering sector in Pakistan. He said that we have got a large number of unemployed engineers, who need facilities for self-employment.

The Planning Minister said that a huge budget worth 6.5 billion rupees has been approved for five universities.

He said that a decision has also been taken to set up an institution with the name of Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan.

The Federal Minister said that the engineering sector plays a very crucial role in any country's progress and it should be provided with all possible resources.

He said that we are an atomic state due to extraordinary efforts and capabilities of our engineers.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has directed the authorities concerned to complete the project of converting federal government buildings to solar energy at the earliest.

He was chairing a review meeting in Lahore on Saturday, on the use of solar energy to meet the electricity needs.

The Prime Minister issued special directives for making a comprehensive strategy to effectively solve the problems faced in this regard.

Shehbaz Sharif said use of solar energy will help us tackle the energy crisis and control prices of electricity in the country.
